Niš , 06 - 07 October, 2017.

Faculty of Arts in Niš organizes the fifth National scientific conference with the international participation Balkan Art Forum 2017, in order to bring together the artists, pedagogists, theoreticians, researchers, whose results in the research work, ideas, innovations as well as concrete suggestions in the field of art would bring about advancement of the artistic creation, the artistic and pedagogical theory and practice and the scientific research in the field of art. The organizers invite all the people willing to play an active role in the international event by presenting a paper - Call for papers

 

BALKAN ART FORUM ( BARTF ) 2017 – ART AND CULTURE TODAY:

ARTISTIC HERITAGE, CONTEMPORARY CREATION AND TASTE EDUCATION

 

POSIBBLE TOPICS:

There are three topic continents of BARTF 2017 key topic: artistic heritage, contemporary creation, taste education. Taken separately, they represent three vast problem fields. But related, they mutually, multi concretize each other by focusing the scholars and researchers, attention. To that extent, the conference key topic, economically formulated by appointing as well as by indicated connecting the three fields, in fact, in the interpretation of the problem continents connection, means the following: How does global, regional and local artistic heritage, as the heritage of regional and local characteristics and colors, and – in principle – of universally applicable values, affect contemporary creativity, which can be built on such traditions or against them, encouraged or inhibited by them, and how can the taste education be designed and implemented on such a heritage and on contemporary art based on such a heritage? To that extent, statements from the different regional and local experiences test results, and – by nature – experience in this matter study on the soil of southeast Serbia, which the organizers have a special interest for, are welcome.

BARTF 2017 Program Committee will consider suitable applications announcing problem permeating of essential dimensions of the art phenomenon: tradition, innovation, history, contemporaneity, canon, conventions, freedom of creativity, folk, high and popular art, reception, criticism, education and taste education, and not isolated testing either of the artistic heritage or the problem of contemporary creation, or taste education issues, without their mutual connection.

  • Artistic heritage: tradition and innovation; traditional and contemporary; art history and contemporary art; folk art – folklore.
  • Contemporary creation: canon, convention, freedom of creativity; autonomy and heteronomy of the artist; authentic and epigone; contemporary art; elite and popular art.
  • Taste education: reception of traditional and modern; types of contemporary taste; institutional and non-institutional taste education; media and taste; social networks and taste; methodological and didactic experiences and experiments in teaching art and art culture.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF TOPICS WITH ABSTRACT STATEMENTS

01.06.2017. in the announcement language and in English, up to 150 words

 

FEE

5.000,00 dinars or 40 Euros at the middle rate of the National Bank of Serbia, on the day of the payment. Upon the payment of the registration fee the participants will be provided with: the book of abstracts, the certificate for participating at the conference and the BARTF Journal of the scientific conference.
