CD8

CD-8-cover-295x300Aleksandar Jakovljević and Bojan Mladenović have been performing together for many years in a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles. The cooperation is continued in this audio edition as the Duo “Diptych”, the name symbolizing the union of two distinct artistic personalities. Miniatures and pieces of foreign and domestic authors of diferent stylistic epoches on this CD have been on the repertoire of cellist Aleksandar Jakovljević. The title of the first and only composition of Milan Djokić, academic painter from Kraljevo "Prelude to a sense of the May" has been chosen for the edition title. Created decades ago, this miniature originally composed for piano (processing for cello by A. Jakovljević) was inspired by Milan’s romantic feelings for his girlfriend. The love story with immense passion, sincerity and deepest feelings has been woven into this composition.

CD-7The flutist Andjela Bratić and the pianist Bojan Mladenović are presenting  themselves with the fantasies for flute and piano, based on the themes from the famous operas of the Romantic epoch, as well as with the transcription of Sarasate's Gypsy aria no. 1, from the same cycle, originally written for a violin and a piano. The main musical characteristics, which classified these works in their original form at the top of classical literature- an exceptional melodic invention, virtuosity and expressiveness that communicates with the listeners - have been preserved also in the remake for flute and piano, which has allowed performers to show their best in their high interpretative achievements.

This edition of the original compositions for the standard and non-standard chamber ensembles emerged as a result of the perennial professional engagement in the field of pedagogy, chamber music performance and as a result of creativity in the field of applied music. The compositions were written for various instrumental ensembles (duo, trio, quartet, septet, Chamber Orchestra), and for the combinations of instruments (string, wood, metal and brass instruments, piano, accordion, guitar, etc.). In some pieces (Tango, Waltz, etc.) the possibility of replacing the instruments was presented, while in some other compositions the alternative instruments could also be used, where such a possible choice was left to the the performers and bands to make. Stylistic and genre heterogeneity (classical, folk, contemporary style) was applied with the intention for the young musicians – the instrumentalists to get acquainted with the current, modern, close to their age, but still, in relation to the classical chamber music, different stylistic and sound tendencies, only through their performing practice.

CD 5

This CD edition of the Faculty of Artss in Niš, somehow considered a special edition, named "Medallions plus" features Trio ANIMA's unique performances of works by great Serbian composer Konstantin Babić (1927-2009) for small chamber ensemble variations: soprano - flute - piano; flute - piano; voice - piano; voice - flute - violin - piano. Despite a common opinion that best part of Babić's creative work is his choral opus (which places him among the most performed choral music artists and classic favourites), key elements and kind of light motifs of his composing manuscript and artistic expression - well shaped sound, humor, lyricism and impressionistic sensibility, elements of popular music (i.e. jazz), affinity towards folklore and Mocartean merriness, are also presents in other musical genres - instrumental and vocal chamber music as well as piano works.
