The book Traditional singing of Niš and Leskovac region in music education was created as a result of musical material collecting, as well as the author's desire to preserve the traditional singing of Southeast Serbia (of Niš and Leskovac region). The basic book conception is introducing of traditional singing in music education. The book is intended for teachers in music schools within Solfeggio subject, in general education schools as the material for Music culture subject and students of music within the Solfeggio teaching methods course and Music teaching methodology. The book is based on the ritual-conventional genre chants systematized and given through the annual cycle, therefore, from a clearly recognizable ritual singing, to the lyric, which, viewed in time, is a kind of continuity in the national vocal expression development.
