Bisera Veljković, MA (1975), started her piano studies with prof. Jovanka Aranđelović and prof. Dragoslav Aćimović. She graduated at the Faculty of Arts in Priština, in the class of prof. Dragoslav Aćimović. She obtained her MA degree in the class of the same professor in 2008. During her studies, she upgraded her skills at the master classes, seminars and lectures with prof. N. Starkman, prof. D. Katunac, prof. A. Valdma. After her studies she continued performing music and she has held the whole-evening solo concerts in Vranje, Zvečan, Prokuplje and Niš, and she also performed with great success as a chamber musician. She has been the permanent member of the Perla trio, with whom she has been actively performing, as well as the member of the piano quartet D-Art, with whom she had a remarkable performance at the Endowment of Ilija M. Kolarac in Belgrade. As a soloist she also performed at the International Choir Festival (IHS), Niš Music Festival (NIMUS) and International Music Festival in Leskovac (LEDAMUS). She has also collaborated with the following conductors: Suzana Kostić, PhD, Rade Pejčić, MA, and Zoran Stanisavljević, MA. As a pedagogue she has achieved great results and her students have won numerous rewards (seven I, four II awards). Since 2003. she has been working as the Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš for the subject – Complementary Piano.
