Miomira Djurdjanović, Ph.D (1970) a graduate music pedagogist obtained her MA degree at the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade at Department of Music Pedagogy. at Faculty of Teacher-Training in Vranje of the University of Niš, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Teacher-Training in Vranje of the University of Niš with thw theme The Development of methodology of general music education in Serbia in 20th century. She is in title of Associate professor at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, teaching at undergraduate and master academic studies – at the course Methodology of teaching music culture. She has published a monograph titled Teaching music in Serbia in the 19th and 20th centuries, a publication by the Faculty of Arts in Niš. She has published three methodological-didactic manuals, a publication by "Nota" Knjaževac, accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development for the realization of music education in general education schools. She is a participant in scientific forums in Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Bulgaria and Russia. She is a member of the subject didactics Society of Serbia and Head of the course section for teaching music education. She is the author and moderator of accredited seminar of ZUOV (Institute for the Advancement of Education) for the professional development of teachers, instructors, professional associates in the school year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. She has reviewed textbooks and manuals, scientific papers in national and international journals and proceedings. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal: Journal of Subject Didactics, International Journal of Cognitive Research in Science, Engineering and Education. The areas of her interest are: Methodology of teaching music in Serbia, pedagogical teaching practices, textbook literature for the course music culture in general education and secondary schools in Serbia.
