MILENA INJAC

MILENA INJAC, MA (1969) graduated in Conducting in 1992 at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade in the class of prof. Stanko Šepić. She obtained her MA degree at the same faculty in 1996 in the class of prof. Darinka Matić-Marović. She has upgraded her skills with Mladen Jagušt, Salvador Mas Conde (Spain) at masterclass in Vienna, Peter Eotvos (Germany) and Jorma Panule (Finland) at the masterclass in Sombateu, Hungary. She won I Prize at 3rd International festival ”World of music” in Italy, conducting the chamber ensemble of Niš Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with Belgrade Filharmony, the National Theatre Opera in Belgrade, the Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television Serbia, the Symphony Orchestra of Yugoslav Army “Stanislav Binički”, Niš Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Montenegro, the Philharmony of Sarajevo, the Philharmony of Macedonia, the Opera of Macedonian National theatre, Savaria Symphony Orchestra (Hungary), the National Philharmony of Plovdiv, Vidin, Šumen and Vrača in Bulgaria, St. Alban Symphony Orchestra in Great Britain, the National youth Symphony Orchestra “Hose Artigas” in Montevideo (Uruguay), where she held a masterclass for the young conductors in 2010, as well as with the National youth Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador (San Salvador) in 2011 and 2012, where she held, apart from the masterclass, several concerts in Teatro Nacional and Teatro Presidente. As the artistic director and the conductor of the Academic Chamber orchestra of Students, cultural centre (SKC) in Niš, she has participated in festivals in Sweden, Greece, Austria, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain. She conducted the world premiere of a modern opera at the Closing ceremony of the Festival “Progetto Musica 2004” in Rome, Italy. Performing Mozart,s Requiem with soloists, the choir and the orchestra with the Philharmony of Sofia at Sala Bulgaria in June 2011, should also be mentioned among her prominent visiting performances. She has realized lasting recordings for the purposes of radio and TV in the country and abroad. In 2002, she was the winner of a prestigious award-The Golden Badge of 20th International Choral Festival (IHS) in Niš. She has worked as the Associate professor at the subject Orchestra at the Faculty of Arts, the University of Niš and has been a conductor of the Chamber orchestra “Concertante” at the Faculty of Arts, with which she had concerts in the cities of the region, and also at the festivals in Greece in 2009, in Italy in 2010 (by invitation of the Foundation of William Walton), as well as at the Euroorchestra Festival in Moscow in April, in 2012. Currently, she is at her doctoral studies in Conducting at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in the class of prof. emeritus Darinka Matić-Marović. She was the conductor of the International Symphony Orchestra at the central ceremony of 29th International Orchestra Festival in Murcia, Spain in 2010 and also the conductor of the International Orchestra at the Euroorchestra Festival in Moscow in April, in 2012.
