JELENA VASILAKIS

JELENA VASILAKIS, MA (1975), finished the Music Academy in Srpsko Sarajevo and graduated at the Department for General Music Pedagogy. The thesis of her paper was The features of Chopin,s harmonic language in mazurkas, with a detailed analysis of opus 24. Her MA degree work thesis was: The Harmony of Edvard Grieg with a particular view on the expression of modality in his music, from the subject Harmony with harmonic analysis, under the mentorship of prof. Dejan Despić (2007). From November 2001 to 2006, she worked as an Assistant at the Music Academy of Srpsko Sarajevo, at the subject Vocal counterpoint, The Analysis of a musical piece and Choral scores playing. Since 2006, she has been at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, in title of the Assistant at the subject Harmony with the harmonic analysis and the Analysis of a musical piece.
