"The exchange" is part of the celebration of the Edict of Milan and a way of strengthening relationship between York and Niš. 24 (Department of Music, University of York, England), conducted by prof. dr William Brooks, and the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, with the dean prof. dr Suzana Kostić, organized and coordinated the cooperation in the exchange of musical expression, mutually presenting music programs in two cities, in Niš, Serbia, and in York, England. The aim of this joint presentation of young artists is that young people present themselves as promoters of universal human values and as the best messengers of contemporary meanings of messages of Edict of Tolerance. Messages of tolerance can be expressed through various forms of social representation. One of the ways is the common musical performance by cities that are in a historical and civilizational way related to the Emperor Constantine. The thread that binds these two cities is certainly the main driver of cultural connection among students, i.e. young artists.
